The Honorable Campaign within the Alert Tower is a nice way to collect Hero EXP, campaign chests with additional rewards, and RSS. You also get Campaign Medals, which can be exchanged in the Store on the Campaign Store tab (typically clear out the top two rows here every reset if you can).

Consistent ways to earn are arms race chests and secret tasks. When you are plundering secemret tasks, try to find 4 or 5 star gold tasks with skill medals. These give 125-144 medals 5 times a day, and your own secret tasks will give more. The 3 arms race chests give 1600 and that resets every 4 hours, you should be able to get 5k+ a day from those.
Skill distribution and prioritization The distribution of skill points is a key factor in the effectiveness of your heroes. A clear strategy helps to use skill points efficiently and avoid wastage.
basic setup: Set all skills to level 10 first to create a solid base.
maximize main skill: The most important skill of a hero is the main skill on the top right. This should be brought to level 20 for all heroes (4 stars required) before other skills are further improved.
attack skills for damage dealers: For damage dealers (e.g. Kim, Stetmann), the attack skill at the top left is then set to level 15. Depending on how far you are with the stars, you can then increase the skin skill at the top right to 25 and the attack skill to 20.
